Eureka Chapter No 7
Royal Arch Masons
C. Craig Frazier, High Priest
The Grand York Rite Convention is coming up this month and will be held at the Marriott in Lake Mary again. I urge each of you to find the registration information that was emailed out by our secretary and get yourself registered for this event. It is a great time to meet other York Rite Companions and a lot of the Grand Line officers.
All of the officers should have a book already and learning their parts. The next Chapter meeting will be on May 11th.
I am working on another article in my York Rite Educational Series about the Mark Master Degree and should have it completed to present at our May meeting. I invite any companion to submit any articles or research for our educational purposes that will improve our knowledge of the craft.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
Companion C. Craig Frazier

The GRAND YORK RITE CONVENTION is upon us and you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to attend the many events associated with this once a year festival. You will have the opportunity to meet York Rite members from across the state. If you haven’t submitted your registration you can register at the door but it costs a couple bucks more. It will be held at the Lake Mary Marriott as it was last year which is convenient to several restaurants outside the hotel if you like to explore. They do a wonderful job of providing us with plenty of room/space to accommodate the various persons and business of our wonderful fraternity. You can find the schedule of events on our web site. It officially opens on May 21, 2017 but most of the activities take place on the 22nd, 23rd, and closing on the 24th.
You may have noticed the absence of this publication for the last month or so. The secretary/recorder (who also happens to be the DDGM) has been overwhelmed with responsibilities trying to keep the Orlando York Rite bodies running smoothly and noncompliance with the many rules and regulations of the district and grand offices, in addition to his travel requirements as the DDGM. Many feel this publication is directly connected to our membership as we have many members who do not attend meetings due to being unable to drive at night or for health reasons. In any case, if you have any ideas on these matters please don’t hesitate to share them with our secretary/recorder.
Finally, I recently received a letter from the Scottish Rite announcing their plan to sell the Scottish Rite Temple in Winter Park as they can no longer afford to maintain this building. As I am sure you are aware, this same scenario has played out in individual Blue Lodge as well as the Bahia Shrine building. The rising tide of declining membership and rising costs is overwhelming many Masonic bodies and makes membership the number one priority to neutralize or prolong the fight. Make membership your number one priority. You are our representative in your blue lodge and need to make all the Master Masons in your Lodge aware of the York Rite and remind them that every Christian Mason should be a York Rite Mason.

My Fellow Sir Knights!
Take hope for the strength in the oneness we are given with our Blessed Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ!
As Sir Knights we are equipped with our swords, also in our hearts and spirits we are instructed to, "Put on the full armor of God" so that "when the day of evils comes, you may be able to stand your ground" Ephesians 3:10-13.
As we have enjoyed our Easter Celebrations together with Family, friends. Then the Glorious Resurrection, The Final Appearances the Instructions to wait for "Comforter" The Holy Spirit. Let celebrate that Our Lord is always with us and prepares the perfect places for us. We celebrate the promise of Eternal Life and that we can have The Lords help with every need.
St Paul teaches us boast gladly about our weaknesses so that Christ' power may rest on us, to delight in weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions and difficulties for when we are weak, then through Christ we are strong. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10.
When ever I am struggling with heath issues, healing from broken bones, cold and flu or respiratory aches and pains, stomach or digestive issues. As well as stress, meeting schedules and deadlines I find myself getting centered with Spiritual Strength by saying over and over again the words form Isaiah 40:29-31 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youth grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in The Lord will renew their strength they will sour on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Praying each of you will have a Very Blessed 5 Month of this Year Of Our Lord!
In Christ's Name,
Sir Knight Ervin Janssen
