York Rite District Meetings & Grand Master Dinner

Grand Master DinnerSir Knights,
Another York Rite masonic year is in full swing. Travel, Travel, Travel. Your District Deputies and District Instructors are committed to the York Rite cause but we need your help. How? Participation!

Myself, R.E. Harry V. Eisenberg and R.E. Ricardo Parente have committed to attending the York Rite District Meetings. A few Saturdays ago we traveled together to attend the meeting in Gainsville followed by, later in the day, Jacksonville. The road trip was half the fun. After making an obligatory stop at the first Dunkin’ Donuts for a much needed coffee we made our way northward with the assistance of a very reliable GPS system. Ok, so they are not that reliable. We eventually found our destinations. During the hours of driving together we enjoyed fellowship and conversed many different topics.

Our attendence at both meetings was appreciated by the heads of all three bodies. We were there to support them in any way possible. Our current line of grand officers welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we truly belonged among them. We got to know the GC, GIM, and GHP in a more intimate manner. In my opinion we are in good hands as the grand lines of all three bodies are committed to working together as one united York Rite. They are also committed to serving you! That’s right you! The rank and file member. We are all in this together.

Grand Master DinnerOn this particular evening the Grandmaster of Florida, MW Jorge Aladro, had his official visit in Jacksonville at the Morrocan Shrine. The York Rite Bodies were invited as special guests. Myself and the DDGHP Ricardo, never ones to miss a meal, attended. We received the “rock star” treatment. We were seated with the GC, GIM, and the GDIM at a table of honor. The meal was superb. Afterwards we retired to the tiled communication.
During which, MW Jorge Aladro, committed his year as Grandmaster of Florida as a time of renewed support for the York Rite Bodies. He was quick to point out that members of his grand line are also grand line officers of the York Rite. MW Aladro gave us a challenge to prosper, because after all it is the York Rite membership who determines our fate. But it all starts from within!

On behalf of the DDGC Jerry McKinnon, DDGHP Ricardo Parente, and DDIM Michael Hartman we ask for your attendence at our York Rite District Meeting on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Sanford Lodge. This meeting is for YOU! We expect the dias officers to attend! All other York Rite masons are more than welcome. We will receive the GC, GIM, and GHP. They are traveling from across the state to meet with us. Let us show them the courtesy of a packed lodge. Like MW Aladro said it all starts here. See you at the meeting.

York Rite District Meetings in Gainesville and Jacksonville

Orlando York Rite was represented at the District Meetings  in Gainesville and Jacksonville last Saturday July 14th by our members:

  • R.E. Harry V. Eisenberg, Grand Master of the First Veil
  • E. Jerry McKinnon, District Deputy Grand Commander
  • R.E. Ricardo Parente, District Deputy Grand High Priest, I.M., E.C.

We all attended the meeting in the morning in Gainesville and traveled to Jacksonville for the meeting in the afternoon.

The Grand Master of Florida, M.W. Jorge Aladro, spoke at the opening in Jacksonville and later we all went to the Marroco Shriners for the Grand Master Banquet and tiled meeting.

Although it was a long trip we came back very tired, we had fun and networked very well.
