A quick flash to let everyone what events and coming up.  Tomorrow evening, Friday Oct. 31  (Halloween) is also the official visit for James W. Ford Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons of Florida in the 16th masonic district.  This will take place at the First Baptist Church, 725 N. Woodland Blvd, Deland

(SR. 17-92 just north of Stetson University).  Registration is at 5:30PM, Supper at 6:30 PM and the meeting will be at 7:30PM.  Taylor Commandery is presenting Colors and has asked Olivet Commandery for help.  They helped us out at ours with 5 or 6 SK,s.  It would be nice to return the favor.  Anyone wanting to car pool, call text or email me and we will set it up.  We need to be there by 6:PM.  Dinner is FREE   FREE   FREE  and you don’t have to stay for the meeting if you don’t want to.

Next event coming up…..  every year the Chapter is required to have a public religious observance day.  The idea is to go out into the community, to one of the local churches or parishes as a unit and attend their service and worship with the congregation.  This is to demonstrate faith as Christians and let the people see that we worship as they do.  This year we will be attending services at the Hyland Baptist Church on 47oo Silver Star Road, Orlando, FL.  The Pastor is Brother Dennis Ickes Chaplin from Mokanna Lodge. Many of you know Brother Dennis and know how well he serves our fraternity whenever anyone is sick, in the hospital or just needs some help or someone to talk to.    We will be attending services there on Sunday November 9th at 11:00 AM.  Come worship with us.

Lastly, I want to remind everyone of our Christmas Celebration presented by Olivet Commandery.  EM Ed Smallwood  did a terrific job organizing this event last year and is working just as hard on this years to make it an even better event.  It is on the 18th of December at 6:30.  There is no cost for the dinner (although donations are always gladly accepted).  Afterwards there will be a short religious service , caroling , the Traditional Toasts by the Sir Knights of the Commandry and lots of good Christmas cheer and fraternizing.  Everyone is invited to come, wives, kids friends relatives and yes even your enemy’s.  This is a special time of the year and a great time to join together in friendship and to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.

This bulletin has been requested and endorsed by none other than your High Priest, Companion Ed Smallwood, your Illustrious Master, Companion Theodore Hammond, and your Eminent Commander, Sir Knight Ed Smallwood.

Thank You and I look forward to seeing you at these events.
