The Thomas Hayward Award

Orlando York Rite Bodies had the first Thomas Hayward Award Banquet yesterday, October 18th 2014, during the Festive Table organized by the three bodies: Eureka Chapter No.7, Orlando Council No.5 and Olivet Commandery No.4.

We had a fantastic rib-eye steak dinner prepared by our Companion Michael T. Rudd and his lovely wife.

Three awards were given, in appreciation of continued dedication and service to York Rite Bodies of Florida, to the Companions Ricardo Parente, James D. Dickenson and J. Michael Harman. The fourth award will be given to Companion Gerald Favor on the next York Rite meeting since he could not attend the banquet.

Here are some photos.

Orlando York Rite Festive Table & Awards Banquet

York Rite of FreemasonryDear Companions and Sir Knights,

On Sat. Oct. 18th we will be having our Festive Table and Awards Banquet.

This is the first annual Heywood Awards honoring 4 Central Florida York Rite Masons, and raising money for our York Rite Charities. We will be having a Roast Beef dinner and fine fellowship in addition.

As this is our only fund raiser for the year it is imperative that you all come out and support this event.

Tickets are $25 and available from the officers.

Even if you cannot attend it is incumbent upon you to support your York Rite and buy a couple of tickets, but we want you to be present.

This is open to all, so you can bring your friends even if they are not York Rite Masons.

Thank you .

Fraternally,

Harry Eisenberg
Chairman RARA

York Rite District Meetings in Gainesville and Jacksonville

Orlando York Rite was represented at the District Meetings  in Gainesville and Jacksonville last Saturday July 14th by our members:

  • R.E. Harry V. Eisenberg, Grand Master of the First Veil
  • E. Jerry McKinnon, District Deputy Grand Commander
  • R.E. Ricardo Parente, District Deputy Grand High Priest, I.M., E.C.

We all attended the meeting in the morning in Gainesville and traveled to Jacksonville for the meeting in the afternoon.

The Grand Master of Florida, M.W. Jorge Aladro, spoke at the opening in Jacksonville and later we all went to the Marroco Shriners for the Grand Master Banquet and tiled meeting.

Although it was a long trip we came back very tired, we had fun and networked very well.
