On the eleventh Hour of the eleventh day ofthe eleventh Month in the year 1918 the Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended with Germany signing the Armistice agreement.
President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed Armistice Day a holiday in 1919. On June 4th,1926 the Congress passed a resolution to celebrate November 11th as a Holiday. This resolution was passed on May 13th, 1938 that there after November 11 would be know as “Armistice Day”. On June 1 st, 1954 A bill was passed which changed the name to “Veterans Day”.
Since then November 11 is set aside to honor all of those who served to protect our Country.
We as Royal Arch Masons should always honor those in uniform. More especially we should give our thanks to all of those men and women who put
their own livesI families and careers on hold so they could band together to protect our rights as free citizens ot these United States of America. These
unseltish defenders of our Freedoms deserve our undying gratitude.
We as Royal Arch Masons will this Sunday November 11th, 2012 salute ali who have put themseives in harms way for us.
God bless all of our service men and women no matter where they serve and God Bless these United States of America.
In Witness Thereof, I have set my hand and seal on this 6th Day of November 2012 2542
