R.E. John B. Fletcher, Jr. Passes

Companions and Sir Knights

It is with great sorrow that I inform you that Sir Knight John B. Fletcher Jr. passed on to the Great Architect last evening, April 25th, 2016, around 5PM. Brother John was an active Mason and will be greatly missed by all. John was a Past Grand Commander of Florida and the secretary of the Orlando York Rite Bodies for 35 years. His tenacity and wisdom were, and will continue to be the pillars of the Orlando York Rite. At this time, there are no arrangements.

Olivet Commandery No. 4 Knights Winter Garden Brothers

At last weekend’s York Rite Festival, two brothers from Winter Garden Lodge No. 165 were knighted into our magnanimous order. The Orlando York Rite bodies, having a completely new line of officers from the secretary down are seeing a flux in new interest and younger membership.  If you are a member and haven’t been in a while for whatever reason, you should come out and see the changes and progress we are making.  We need and welcome your support!

PHP & PIM Aprons Presented

At a stated meeting of Olivet Commandery No. 4 on February 25th, The Junior Past High Priest of Eureka Chapter No. 7 of Royal Arch Masons, Bill Miller, and Past Illustrious Master of Orlando Council No. 5 of Royal & Select Masters, Ed Smallwood were presented with their aprons.  The presentation of aprons to our past presiding officer’s has long been a tradition at The Orlando York Rite Bodies and is a proud moment for those gentlemen who worked very hard and made it through the line, each leaving their mark.
