My Fellow Companions:

FLAGSHIP CHARITY--CMMRF:

Orlando York Rite Council No. 5 held a brief convocation on 14 May. Several companions had the pleasure to meet at Eola Lodge and communicate with Grand Chaplain Robert Moore (Tampa area). Before departing, Grand Chaplain Moore relayed a brief message from our Most Illustrious GM: Participation is key to success which includes fraternal pageantry, spiritual growth, and charity support. The flagship charity for the Council includes Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation, a research organization designed to treat circulatory problems.

"EVERY CHRISTIAN MASON SHOULD BE A KNIGHTS TEMPLAR":

According to an undated pamphlet distributed by York Rite of Freemasonry, '...there has been no serious challenge to the statement that ...the Ancient York Rite must remain on the records of history as the oldest and purest of all the Rites extant. English history tells us that the King of all England, Athelstan, called the First Grand Convocation of Masons at York, England in the year 926 A.M.'

A Blue Lodge Master Mason should attempt to complete his masonic work in the other 3 York Rite bodies by petitioning for the degrees/orders in the York Rite CHAPTER (Capitular), COUNCIL (Cryptic), and COMMANDERY (Chivalric). Be on the lookout for a worthy brother Master Mason candidate to join our next One Day York Rite class on Saturday, 26 SEP 2009 at EOLA Lodge.
