Commandery January 2010 Article

Commandery Banner
Sir Knights,

I would like to thank all the Sir Knights for having the confidence in me for electing me to the office of Eminent Commander of Olivet Commandery No. 4 for the year 2010. Your elected and appointed officers have committed to serve you in the best way possible.

Again I would request the Sir Knights who are not taking any active role in the Commandery to turn in any uniforms, swords or chapeaus to SK Jerry Favor, or any other of our SK's.

To all the new Sir Knights, I would like to welcome you to the Commandery and invite you to attend one of our meetings which are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at Eola Lodge. One of our goals this year is to increase the active members of our Commandery and we need your help to do so. We will outfit you with the Commandery coats, chapeaus, swords and sword belts at no expense to you. All you need is a pair of black shoes, pants and a white shirt and black tie. If you have any questions please call one of your fellow Sir Knights. We are all more than willing to assist you with any questions you may have concerning York Rite of the Commandery and to help you in your search for more light.

To all of this year's officers I look forward to working together with you to build our Commandery and to make it in the best we can. I know we have the support of all our Past Commanders and together we can make Olivet Commandery a source of learning and light.

Courteously,

Erik Andersen, Eminient Commander.

Commandery Uniform, Sword, Chapeau, Belt, etc

Sam TishCompanions and Sir Knights:

We are running out of COMMANDERY uniforms and the equipment that goes along (chapeau, belt, sword, etc.).
Like many of us involved in Freemasonry (Shrine, Scottish Rite, Blue Lodge, OES, etc.) we have taken on more than time permits to serve in the various appendant bodies. Until you are able to see your way clear to return to the Orlando YORK RITE Commandery, we would like to be able to equip some of the newbies who have joined us at EOLA Lodge. As you know, all the expensive stuff--sword, chapeau, blue coat, belt, gloves--is needed.
Please contact Gerald FAVOR or our Recorder, Past REGC John Fletcher to help us outfit others in attendance.
We can arrange to pick up the paraphanalia if you are not able to drop it off at EOLA Lodge.

Sam Tish

This is an excellent pencil-on-paper artwork by Brother Rafael Faro, Boca Raton. I thought we could share this among the brotherhood.

Commandery July 2009 Article

Commandery Small Banner
Sir Knights:

I hope this communication finds you well and prosperous. Ready for the 4th of July, God bless America!!! and we pray for all mankind to see that the whole world will be a better place to live.

July is a very busy month for us. We would like to see all Knights in attendance. We need your support and once again we try to get more brothers to join us, in our Commandery. Nothing is more discouraging than lighting an empty Lodge, we need you now. Remember that our goal is to increase our membership 10 percent and retain those we already have. I'm looking forward for your support and kindness.

For sickness and distress, pray for our sick Companions, specially for our Sir Knight R.W. Tony Stipich.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day.

In closing I would like to say to those York Rite members that used to be active but haven't been around, we are at a time when we need your support and influence. Please stop for a meeting occasionally, we would love to see you.

Miguel Arteaga, E.C.
